TRAINING

The following are optional available training classes. The Del Norte Gun Club encourages members to take these classes and the club will pay for the materials for these classes.
The student will have to pay any applicable NRA fees. All the club asks for in return is that each person taking a class participate in helping teach four classes as assistant instructors in a period of eighteen months.

NRA's FIRST STEPS Program

An Integral Part of Del Norte Gun Club Membership Orientation

FIRST (Firearm Instruction, Responsibility and Safety Training) STEPS is the latest addition to the NRA's training programs for new shooters. It provides hands-on orientation to one specific rifle, pistol or shotgun model in as little as three hours, including a one-hour shooting session on a range.
