Del Norte Gun Club - Driving Directions

Currently Open Ranges

The General Rifle range (2 positions at 25-yards, 45 positions at 100-yards, 5 positions at 200-yards and 5 positions at 300-yards) and General Shotgun range (General Shotgun range: 2 positions single throwers and Sporting Clay course) are immediately available to new members when they have completed their orientation. The General Pistol range (Known Distance range for 10, 25 and 50 yards and the close in Handgun range, and Action Pistol Bay range for scenario shooting) are also open. 1,000 Yard range is currently open to club members who have demonstrated the ability to shoot this extreme distance safely by providing documentation from acceptable qualifying source, (i.e. Palma, CMP, NRA, etc), attending the DNGC sponsored long distance shooting course or by qualifying in a club sponsored shoot. These ranges are open 7 days a week, sunup to sundown. Currently the entire Shooting Facility is closed to noon every Wednesday for scheduled maintenance, Unscheduled maintenance may necessitate closing any or all ranges on the shooting facility at other times for safety reasons.

Phase I - Recreational Shooting Facility Plan

(1) SIGHTING-IN RANGE

2 - benches with targets at 25 yards

(2) GENERAL PURPOSE RIFLE RANGE

45 - benches with targets at 50 and 100 yards

(3) MEDIUM DISTANCE GENERAL PURPOSE RANGE

	5 - benches with targets at 300 yards
	1 - metallic gong at 300 yards
	5 - benches with targets at 200 yards
	1 - metallic gong at 200 yards

(4) LONG DISTANCE RIFLE RANGE

20 - positions with dirt shooting mounds at 200, 300, 600, 800, 900 and 1000 yards

20 - benches at 1000 yards

	(200, 300 and 600 yards used for over the course military style shooting) (800, 900 and 1000 yards for Palma style shooting)
	(Benches at 1000 yards for 1000 yard benchrest)
	(F-Class [any sight, front & rear rest allowed, shot from prone] 800, 900 and 1000 yards)
	(Close-in F-Class 300 and 600 yards)

(5) BULLSEYE PISTOL RANGE

40 - positions with targets at 25 and 50 yards

(6) CLOSE-IN PISTOL RANGES

7 - bays that are 50 feet deep (each bay wide enough for 4 people)

[2 of the bays will be dedicated to .22 rimfire plinking; the remaining 5 for close in self-defense training]

(7) ACTION PISTOL RANGE
(For Cowboy Action, IPSC, IDPA, Steel Challenge, etc.)

	8 - bays at 25 yards
	2 - bays at 50 yards

(8) TRAINING and FULLY AUTOMATIC WEAPON RANGE

50 yards wide and 50 yards deep

(9) GENERAL PURPOSE SHOTGUN RANGE
Now open for use.
