Our Electronic Front Gate Is Up-and-Running

How to Use Your Keycard

Inside and outside the gate on the driver’s side you will see a post holding a sensor. There is a keypad next to the sensor which our system does not use; just ignore the keypad.

Note that our volunteer maintenance crew has installed wood posts in front of the sensors. This is to prevent someone who is distracted from driving over the sensor. (Thanks for putting up the posts, guys!)

Drive up next to the sensor and hold your keycard in front of it for a few seconds. The sensor will beep and the gate will slowly begin to open. When the gate is open, just drive through. The gate will close behind you and the computer system will log the time you entered (or left) the range.

Guests

You no longer have to log in the names of any guests. Just remember who you brought as guests if it ever becomes necessary to ask you. Remember, you are responsible for supervising guests at all times.

Keycards Will NOT Work on Thursday Mornings

Members may use the range from sunup to sundown every day of the year except for Thursday mornings (when fence-riding is performed). To avoid possible accidents, all member keycards are set to NOT OPEN THE GATE from midnight Wednesday through noon Thursday. The Board can designate members — such as fence-riders — whose keycards will be set to allow operating the gate at any time.
