Range Information and MapsClick buttons below to view specific range information and maps:Currently Open RangesThe General Rifle range (2 positions at 25-yards, 45 positions at 100-yards, 5 positions at 200-yards and 5 positions at 300-yards) and General Shotgun range (General Shotgun range: 2 positions single throwers and Sporting Clay course) are immediately available to new members when they have completed their orientation. The General Pistol range (Known Distance range for 10, 25 and 50 yards and the close in Handgun range, and Action Pistol Bay range for scenario shooting) are also open. 1,000 Yard range is currently open to club members who have demonstrated the ability to shoot this extreme distance safely by providing documentation from acceptable qualifying source, (i.e. Palma, CMP, NRA, etc), attending the DNGC sponsored long distance shooting course or by qualifying in a club sponsored shoot. Click here for photos of open ranges. These ranges are open 7 days a week, sunup to sundown. Currently the entire Shooting Facility is closed to noon every Wednesday for scheduled maintenance, Unscheduled maintenance may necessitate closing any or all ranges on the shooting facility at other times for safety reasons.
Important Safety NoticeOne of the major issues in obtaining the "special use" zoning for the new facility was safety. We showed that our new recreational shooting facility will be built to the highest standards of safety and that we will institute rules and procedures for safe use of the ranges. Safety First - If an orange Flag is NOT being flown at the entrance gate, there will be NO LIVE FIRE anywhere on the facility. If the flag is UP, live fire is permitted on approved ranges. Therefore, anyone found shooting on the property in violation of these rules will be prosecuted for trespass. If it is a current Del Norte Gun Club member, that member will be permanently expelled from the Club. The entire property is fenced (nearly five miles of fencing). Only Del Norte Gun Club Members and those specifically authorized by the Board have a key to the gate. Any other person who wants to visit the facility will have to be accompanied by a Board member or come as the guest of a club member. Special arrangements can be made for visits. |
