Grand
Opening Ceremony on September 25th
The club
held a grand opening ceremony and open house for members and the community to
showcase our facility and provide an opportunity for the public and potential
new members to understand our purpose and mission. Approximately 150
persons visited and were impressed with our accomplishments and plans for
the future. Facility tours were conducted by members. Cowboy Action
shooters held an exhibition, smallbore shooting clinics and women's shooting
clinics were held throughout the event. Snacks and refreshments were
available, and drawings for door prizes were held periodically. Twenty new
members joined the club at the event.
At
noon, Bill Last and Dave Leestma cut the ceremonial ribbon and presented the
plaque commemorating the development of the new facility. Dave and Bill
did most of the "heavy lifting" in the acquisition and development of
the new range, and the club owes them an incalculable debt for their service.
A
special thanks to Roxane Bly for organizing the event.
